Is Measure N a bond?
No. Measure N is a special parcel tax for the Imperial Valley Healthcare District—not a bond measure.

How much would it cost?
Measure N would levy $111 per parcel, per year on parcels appearing on the secured Imperial County property tax roll.
How long would it last?
The parcel tax would continue until repealed by voters. We believe voters deserve to see that fact clearly.
Where can the money be used?
Revenue is dedicated to local hospital and healthcare services, including emergency care, operations and maintenance, equipment and technology, expanded services, retaining staff, and preparing to finance required seismic upgrades.
What accountability is included?
Measure N requires independent audits, and the revenue is restricted to the healthcare purposes described in the measure.
How could Measure N help bring more expertise to Imperial County?
IVHD has partnered with UC San Diego Health to bring advanced medical expertise and training programs to Imperial County. Measure N would support the local facilities and services needed to strengthen care close to home.
Who can vote on Measure N?
All registered voters in Imperial County may vote on Measure N because the Imperial Valley Healthcare District encompasses the entire county.
What happens if Measure N doesn’t pass?
Without a special tax, the Imperial Valley Healthcare District’s local hospitals risk service reductions or potential closures.
Can the tax amount be increased later?
No. The tax cannot exceed the amount authorized by Measure N unless Imperial County voters approve another increase.
